Oceanpositive Logo

An estimated 8 million tons of rubbish per year enters our seas. Dumped into our oceans daily, this threatens marine life, pollutes beaches and affects local tourism industries. Imagine if below the water there was no more coral reef to explore, unique plants are dying out, wildlife is scarce and, in some cases, becoming extinct.

Being ‘OceanPositive’ stems from not just what we do in the ocean but also what we do in our everyday lives. From the garments we produce to the packaging they are in and the projects that we support along the way, everything we do leads to ensuring a more sustainable business that is good for the ocean.

Originally, fourth element OceanPositive products were conceived as a result of recycled ghost nets and other discarded waste – turned into ECONYL® yarn to use in our swimwear and rashguards. We are constantly reviewing old products to add more sustainable fabrics and ensuring anything new we create is thoughtfully considered for its environmental impact.

Single-use plastic packaging just isn’t OK anymore. It pollutes our water ways, suffocating marine life and breaking down into micro plastics which enter our food chain. We are constantly on the hunt for better forms of packaging and have made a pledge to be single-use plastic free by World Oceans Day 2020.

Working with organisations such as Reef World International and the Global Ghost Gear Initiative (GGGI), our enthusiastic team of wildlife lovers and keen divers regularly help with activities such as beach cleans and retrieving ghost fishing nets.

Professional Practices

From choosing locally made milk (and, increasingly, plant-based alternatives) to installing solar panels for our energy supply, we realise it’s these little things we do everyday that make a big impact.
